V Rising’s types and rarities of weapons are very confusing. There are terms like Iron or Dark Silver, which are usually named after the main resource used to craft the weapon.
There are also Epic and Legendary Ancestral tiers from the new Ancestral Forge, making it pretty challenging to understand. In this guide, we’ll list all the best weapons at the highest tier in V Rising’s Invaders of Oakveil patch.
The Best Weapons in V Rising Invaders of Oakveil 1.1 Patch
The Red Twins (Axe)

Axe Weapon Skills:
- Frenzy (Q Skill) – Dash forward and strike the first enemy, dealing 100% physical damage. Enter a state of frenzy that increases your movement speed by 25% and attack speed by 30% for 0.8 seconds on a successful hit.
- X-Strike (E Skill) – Throw two axes in the shape of an X. Each hit deals 80% physical damage and slows the enemy for 1.5s. Hitting the enemy where both axes intersect inflicts a one-second incapacitation.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Frenzy (Q Skill) – Increase the duration of Frenzy by 1 second.
- X-Strike (E Skill) – Toss two additional axes in a wider cone, each additional axe deals 40% damage, and all axes inflict Leech.
The Red Twin Axes are heavily underrated. Most players consider it a tool for farming trees since it has bonus damage, but its two additional axes on the X-Strike skill at its legendary tier make it one of the strongest weapons in the game.
It cleaves everything down and incapacitates everyone hit in the middle, and it is versatile against multiple enemies and single-target bosses as long as you throw the skill perfectly.
The Frenzy buff is also a great attack speed buff, and you can even play around with other skills instead of a Blood Rage/Power Surge spell combo since Frenzy already does the trick.

The Endbringers (Pistols)
Pistols Weapon Skills:
- Fan the Hammer (Q Skill) – Fire 10 bullets in a cone over 1.5 seconds, each bullet deals 25% physical damage and knocks the target back.
- Explosive Bullet (E Skill) – Perform a dodge roll followed by firing an explosive bullet, dealing 25% physical damage. The bullet explodes after 3 seconds, dealing 125% physical damage in an area and knocking enemies back.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Fan the Hammer (Q Skill) – Allows you to move while channeling at 40% movement speed. Hits inflict Ignite.
- Explosive Bullet (E Skill) – Landing an Explosive Shot allows you to recast a second shot. Hitting the same target triggers the explosion instantly, dealing 100% additional damage and inflicting Ignite.
The Endbringers are your go-to ranged weapon for those who like a more fast-paced playstyle. Crossbows and bows are just too slow, but they are decent weapons.
Pistols give you the perfect ranged play around since their legendary version gives you the ability to move while changing your Fan the Hammer AoE-clearing skill.
Explosive Bullets help you clear more waves of enemies, and you can use spells from different schools of magic to apply more debuffs like Ignite from Chaos, Weaken from Illusion, and many others.
Apocalypse (Greatsword)
- Great Cleaver (Q Skill) – Charge forward and swing your greatsword upward, dealing 150% damage in an area and launching enemies into the air for 0.75 seconds.
- Death from Above (E Skill) – Leap into the air and descend upon your enemy, dealing 100% physical damage in an area.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Great Cleaver (Q Skill) – Deals 25% bonus damage to enemies affected by Ignite.
- Death from Above (E Skill) – Spawns a lesser Aftershock effect when landing, dealing 80% damage in a line and inflicting Ignite.
The Apocalypse excels in high DPS output but isn’t as versatile as the other weapons. You want to always have an Ignite source so you can buff your Great Cleaver to do more damage. When you do, things will melt way quicker, especially for single-target fights.
The Death from Above also inflicts Ignite, and you can also use it as an escape tool when surrounded by enemies or boss mechanics.
The Gravecaller (Sword)

- Whirlwind (Q Skill) – Spin around and slice nearby enemies, dealing 35% physical damage every 0.25 seconds for 1.1 seconds. Movement speed is increased during the spin.
- Shockwave (E Skill) – Send forth a shockwave dealing 70% physical damage and launching the enemy hit into the air for 1.6 seconds. Recast the ability to teleport to the target, striking it thrice, each strike dealing 20% physical damage.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Whirlwind (Q Skill) – The duration of Whirlwind increases by 1 second when killing an enemy, and hits inflict Condemn. Duration can be increased up to 3 times.
- Shockwave (E Skill) – Each aerial shockwave strike deals 20% bonus damage and reduces the cooldown of Whirlwind by 0.5 seconds
The Gravecaller’s biggest strength is its Shockwave, which allows you to teleport to the target upon recast, giving you a short invulnerability period. Gamers call this the “frame dodge” in most games, and you can use the recast exactly when you are about to take damage, so you can deal damage while dodging any dangerous attack.
The Shockwave skill alone puts the weapon at S-tier since you have an additional dodge, which in some situations is even better than your dash. The Whirlwind is excellent for clearing out enemies, but is used chiefly to summon more skeletons because the skill will inflict Condemn. It is one of the go-to weapons for summoner-type builds.

Mortira’s Lament (Reaper)
- Tendon Swing (Q Skill) – Swing your reaper, dealing 125% physical damage to nearby enemies, knocking them back and inflicting a 2.5-second fading snare.
- Howling Reaper (E Skill) – Throw a howling reaper that spins in place, dealing 20% physical damage every 0.25 s for 2.2 seconds (160% total). The initial projectile hit slows enemies for 1.5 seconds and deals 50% physical damage.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Tendon Swing (Q Skill) – Consume up to 3 allied skeletons, healing self for 50% of your spell power and increasing your spell and physical power by 10% per skeleton for 8 seconds.
- Howling Reaper (E Skill) – Hits inflict Condemn and have a 25% chance to summon a skeleton warrior.
While the Gravecaller is a great weapon for summoners, Mortira’s Lament is an even better fit for the build. You’ll mostly play around with your skeletons, consuming them to heal yourself and increasing your power while trying to spawn as many skeletons as possible.
Most, if not all, of your spells should have the ability to inflict Condemn since spawning skeletons will be your biggest problem. Once you get used to the minion management playstyle, you are unkillable because of all your self-healing capabilities.
The Morning Star (Whip)
- Aerial Whip Twirl (Q Skill) – Leap towards the cursor and swing your whip around you, dealing 100% physical damage, knocking enemies back, and inflicting a 1.5-second fading snare.
- Entangling Whip (E Skill) – Strike in a line, dealing 100% physical damage and inflicting a 2-second entangle.
Legendary Weapon Skill Mods:
- Aerial Whip Twirl (Q Skill) – Hits cause enemies to burn, dealing damage over time.
- Entangling Whip (E Skill) – Inflicts a 0.25-second stun instead of entangle and causes a fiery explosion at the impact location, dealing 25% damage and igniting the area.
While the Morning Star doesn’t look appealing on paper, its hit-and-run style is one of the best in the game. Since it is a ranged weapon and its attack animations (compared to other ranged weapons) are extremely fast, you can kite enemies easily.
You can even add Power Surge to eliminate enemies quicker while strafing faster. It is a safe weapon, but it isn’t that flashy compared to other weapons.
Where to Get Legendary Ancestral Artifact Shards in V Rising

While Tier 2 Rift Incursions mostly drop Epic Ancestral Weapon Shards, it has a 15% chance to drop a Legendary Ancestral Artifact Shards at the end of the incursion.
Ancestral weapons have random spell effects, including their attributes. So, if you are looking for a specific stat and effect combination for your weapon, you’ll need to farm a lot until you find the perfect one. Here are the possible stat rolls for Epic+ Ancestral weapons:
Possible Stat Rolls | Possible Stat Rolls |
32 – 60 – Max Health | 6 – 10% – Weapon Skill Cooldown Recovery Rate |
4 – 6% – Movement Speed | 2 – 4 – Spell Power |
3 – 6% – Damage Reduction | 3 – 6% – Spell Life Leech |
5 – 10% – Weapon Attack Speed | 6 – 12% – Spell Critical Strike Chance |
6 – 12% – Physical Critical Strike Chance | 10 – 20% – Spell Critical Strike Damage |
10 – 20% – Physical Critical Strike Damage | 6 – 10% – Spell Cooldown Recovery Rate |
It’ll take a long time to grind out the best stat combinations, but that’s what you’ll most likely be doing in the endgame before or after you fight Dracula.
